Sara Bonati

Sara holds a Ph.D. in Human and Physical Geography at the Veneto Doctoral School in Historical, Geographical and Anthropological studies, University of Padova (Italy). She has a M.Sc. in International Relations and Safeguarding of Human Rights and a second one in Geography and Territorial Processes.
She has been visiting researcher at the CEG – University of Lisbon between 2012-2014. Now she collaborates with the University of Brescia. Sara has given seminars on climate change governance and social resilience in national and foreign universities, and she has participated in several international conferences. Sara has several published and in press papers in international academic publications. In particular she has been coordinating the editorial board of the edited volume “(Dis)memory of disasters: an interdisciplinary approach” (in press, 2015). Her research interests include: disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, disaster resilience, risk perception, human rights in disasters and
post-disasters, disaster (sub)cultures, rural and urban studies, sustainability studies.
